South Deuel team and Project Landowners Award $50,000 to Deuel High School Graduates for 4th Annual Deuel Scholarship Program

Earlier this month, graduating seniors at Deuel High School in Clear Lake, South Dakota, were awarded the 4th Annual Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship, receiving $50,000 since launching the program in early 2021.

The scholarship recipients were celebrated at a ceremony at Deuel High School on May 2nd along with members of the South Deuel Wind Project team and project landowners Jim and Linda Dailey and Greg and Darla Toben, participating landowners of Invenergy's Deuel Harvest Wind Energy Center. They were also joined by other fellow organizers of the Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship Program with past recipients having used the funding to pursue higher education in programs within the medical field, engineering, wind energy maintenance, and various other fields of study.

Jim Dailey, one of the organizers, expressed his belief in the importance of industries contributing to their communities and Deuel High School Career Advisor Leslie Larson-Cutshaw also acknowledged the impact of the scholarship, particularly for students with financial constraints. She expressed appreciation for the scholarship's contribution and hoped for its continued provision to support future students.
We are dedicated to supporting youth programming and education in our partnering communities and will continue to support the scholarship program every year for the project's life.
